About 30 feet. Only one drawback make sure you have a clear unobstructed view of the South sky in North America. The home kit was perfect. Antenna cord was just long enough to reach from my desk to a south facing window in my boss' office. This kit is perfect for what I needed. Had the radio in the truck but on leaving the vehicle I wanted to keep listening. Highly recommended, loved the remote for touch free operation.
Great "little" package. Added to my home stereo system for sound, XM is a wonderful addition to a home stereo.
The remote is a good item also for the lazy days when relaxing. Business travel, vacation doesn't matter. This is the perfect accessory to the xm car kit. I love being able to take the music with me anywhere. Very easy set up, the antenna has a long enough cord for you to move around to get the best reception.
This thing works great. The remote control is nice too. I bought this home kit for my Raody XT. The antenna it comes with have a very, very long cord so you can place your receiver almost anywhere and still have a clear shot to a window for reception.
